Organising Your Collection - Charities, Companies,
Organisations and Individuals
- Decide on the charity or other good cause you would like
to benefit from your fundraising.
- Appoint a scheme co-ordinator and establish a central
recycling point.
- Download the poster and
letter requesting donations of
phones to promote your scheme.

- Display the posters in the offices, factory, shop, club,
entrances, etc.
- Email or provide a
copy of the letter to colleagues,
suppliers and customers asking for support. Friends and family can also be
asked to donate.
- Stick a copy of the poster to a strong cardboard box
and place it in a secure and visible place and publicise the location of the
collection point. If preferred, we can provide a collection box with labels
to advertise your collection campaign, free of charge.
- We can also supply Freepost envelopes for you to
distribute.
- When you are ready to arrange a collection by us, remove
the phones from the collection box and package them in a strong envelope or
sturdy cardboard box.
- Leave the collection box in place and start your next
collection campaign.

- Display the posters in classrooms, entrances, etc.
- Each pupil can take a copy of the letter home, requesting
families to support the school by sending in any unwanted phones.
- Parents can ask their friends, family and work colleagues
to donate any unwanted phones to the school.
- You may wish to nominate someone from each class to be
responsible for encouraging children to donate their families unwanted
phones.
- Your recycling campaign can be part of a class topic on
environmental awareness.
